If you practise F5L at competition level, this new accessory becomes essential to save time if you want to repeat the flight in a round.

You no longer need to open the cockpit of your sailplane and disconnect the battery, with all the loss of time that entails, you just need to press the button on this accessory and wait to hear the tones of your motor (generated by your ESC when it receives pulses again from the altimeter). Resetting the Pico altimeter takes about 3s.

It is important to know that resetting the altimeter is done by short-circuiting its internal 3.3V power supply, so it is advisable to make short pulses (if you leave it pressed you could burn the power supply IC of the altimeter).

We recommend that you mount the pushbutton on the top of the fuselage, ahead of the wing. You will need to drill a 5mm diameter hole and the push button should protrude 1 to 1.5mm, to prevent the cyanoacrylate adhesive from penetrating the push button. Once the button has been glued, we recommend that you also glue the cable, inside the fuselage and in the area of the hole, but this time using the hot glue gun.

You will see that the pushbutton is quite small, we recommend to operate it with the fingernail and not pressing with the finger, because with the fingernail you will be able to feel more easily that you have pressed it and it is not necessary to exert so much pressure.
